Hello, I'm Mr Croft.


I've been selling one way or another since I got a Saturday job aged 15 in a sports shop.

I’ve knocked doors selling alarms, double glazing, and even stickers designed to stop people knocking on doors. That’s how I got bitten by the German Shepherd.

A German Shepherd dog, obviously. Not an actual shepherd who was German.


Since 2003, I've been delivering inbound and outbound calling on a self-employed basis.

My philosophy

Your approach to winning new business must be strategic.

You need to know your prospect inside out:

What problem(s) do they have that your product or service solves?

How aware of you and your solution are they?

And most importantly:

What is the big idea that will make them want to listen to you and not one of your competitors?

You need to stand out and be unique - what can you say that will make them sit up and take notice?

Once you've got this information, the next stage is the approach:

Where can I find these prospects?

What is the best method of communicating your big idea to them?

Lead generation takes time.

It's easier to work with the willing, than try to convert someone who simply isn't interested.

Expecting a prospect to agree to a meeting with you the first time you contact them is unrealistic.

Instead, your first step should be to establish a need and build rapport.

Then focus on getting micro commitments from them i.e:

Your prospect agrees to receive some information on your company like a brochure or case study.

Your prospect is happy to get regular emails from you that provide real value to them.

Your prospect is open to a Teams call or a meeting.
